32" Tall, 9 In 1 Modular Galvanized Metal Raised Garden Bed

I've done square gardening with raised beds in the past. I've been reluctant to purchase the plastic raised beds as I'm concerned about leeching. I have purchased wooden raised beds and while they were easy to assemble, they all didn't make it past 1 year. Normally the boards will warp and pop out of the posts or they would become so brittle and break. I didn't want to stain them as I didn't want to worry about leeching. In search for a better option, I came across this kit. First off the box is a bit heavy at 30lbs. Once you open the box you understand why. These are quality metal panels. The contents are well-packed. They put a plastic film on both sides of all panels to keep from getting scratched. This does take some time to remove and honestly is probably the longest part of assembly. The rest of assembly is deciding on the design and inserting bolts. From start to finish it took me about 30 minutes.

Once complete it felt sturdy and held the soil I put in very well. I do recommend wearing gloves when assembling as the metal panels are a bit sharp. Also to note is they give you a nice rubber safety strip to affix to the top to avoid the sharp edge.

PROS:
1. Very good quality metal panels and stainless steel fasteners. I look for this to last more than 1 year.
2. You can configure the garden bed in 9 different ways.
3. I like the deeper bed. It's higher off the ground making it easier and offers more room for roots.
4. Super easy to setup.

Putting it together took about an hour with 2 people. Pulling off the protective film from both sides took the most time. A power drill makes assembling the nuts much faster.
Seems solid. I expect it will last many years.
It came with a cross brace that prevents it from bowing out in the long configuration.
Shipping was on time/quick.

This review will be updated as we begin our first time gardening experience with raised beds so that we can report the convenience and integrity of the product in the future. We chose the BENEHORTI Garden 9-in1metal raised beds and set up the 6.5’ by 3.5’ configuration and purchased four of the gardens. This gives us 128 cubic feet of garden space.
The boxes came in four days and were damage free. The product was well packed and had all the parts listed in the instructions. The company included a few extra nuts, bolts, and screws. We ordered the olive green and they blend very well with the landscape. My husband put the first one together by himself and then we both worked on the other three, making it much easier. Many reviews mention the difficulty in removing the plastic sheets that protect each panel. The sheets on the inside of each panel peeled off very easily. The outside sheet took a little longer, not difficult, but takes patience. It took me about 45 minutes per garden to remove the plastic film (I was not in a hurry.)
Many reviews mentioned that the panels scratched easily. We did not have that problem but I am sure that if I ran a sharp object against the panels, they would scratch. My husband worked on the inside of the panels putting the washers and nuts on the bolts that I inserted from the outside. We waited until all the panels were in place before tightening each bolt. My husband used a drill with a 10mm socket to tighten the bolts. I would occasionally have to use a Phillips head screwdriver to hold a screw that wouldn’t tighten. After the entire garden was together, we placed the rubber safety edging around the top edge of the garden. Total time for us to complete one raised garden was 35 minutes. This is construction only, not removing the plastic film.
We both feel that the gardens seem sturdy and are a quality product. Some reviewers were concerned about the garden bed bowing out after filling with soil. It doesn’t seem like the metal garden is that flimsy. We are going to use the Hugelkultur technique to fill the beds. I will write an update to this review to share how this worked. So far, we are satisfied with the BENEHORTI and look forward to filling them!

We've purchased a few of these raised beds and like how the garden looks more put together. Plus our soil isn't top notch so raised beds are necessary. They're easy to put together and they're high enough that we don't feel like were constantly bending over too low all the time. The convince of not having to build our own is worth it!

Was delivered in good shape. I had no trouble removing the protective plastic coating that some mentioned. The very warm weather may have made that part easier. It took my husband and I about an hour to put it together. Could have been very easy if the company would supply bolts just 2 or 3 threads longer. The short bolts made the process unpleasant and I'm glad it's together. I like the capped bolts on the top that will protect your hands when gardening. I feel it will serve us nicely now that it is together. I had planned on buying some more if I liked this one but the short bolts may make me look elsewhere.
